Maple Canvas (maplecanvas.ca) is a platform operated by JetJade that showcases and connects Canadian paint artists with art buyers. Maple Canvas does not process payments, handle transactions, or act as a broker between artists and buyers.
Artists featured on Maple Canvas are selected by invitation only. By joining the platform, artists agree to provide accurate information about themselves and their artwork including descriptions, dimensions, pricing, and images. All artwork listed must be original work created by the listed artist.
All transactions occur directly between the buyer and the artist through the artist's own payment method (PayPal, Etsy, Square, Stripe, or email). Maple Canvas has no involvement in payment processing, shipping, returns, or disputes. Buyers and artists are responsible for arranging their own terms of sale.
Artists retain full ownership and copyright of their artwork. By uploading images to Maple Canvas, artists grant Maple Canvas a non-exclusive license to display their work on the platform and in promotional materials related to the platform. This license can be revoked by the artist at any time by requesting removal of their work.
All artwork displayed on Maple Canvas must be original paint artwork (watercolour, acrylic, oil, gouache, mixed media, or similar paint mediums). Digital art, AI-generated art, prints, and reproductions are not permitted. Maple Canvas reserves the right to remove any content at its discretion.
Featured artists pay a monthly subscription fee for homepage placement, dashboard access, live studio streaming, and navigation listing. Standard gallery artists pay a reduced monthly fee for gallery listing. Fees are subject to change with 30 days notice. Maple Canvas does not take commission on sales.
The Live Studio feature allows artists to stream live painting sessions via YouTube, embedded on Maple Canvas. By participating in Live Studio, artists acknowledge and agree to the following:
Artists consent to being broadcast live to the public in real time. Streams are unedited, unscripted, and visible to anyone visiting the site. Artists are solely responsible for their appearance, conduct, language, and surroundings during live streams. Maple Canvas does not monitor, moderate, or control stream content.
Live chat is provided and moderated by YouTube. Maple Canvas has no control over chat content, participants, or YouTube's moderation policies. Artists are responsible for managing their own YouTube chat settings.
Maple Canvas reserves the right to remove, disable, or end any live stream at any time without notice for any reason, including but not limited to inappropriate content, technical issues, or violation of these terms.
Viewers understand that Live Studio content is broadcast in real time and may contain unplanned moments, interruptions, or errors. Maple Canvas makes no guarantees regarding stream quality, availability, or uptime.
By going live on Maple Canvas, artists confirm they have the right to stream from their location, that no third party appears on camera without their consent, and that their stream complies with all applicable laws and YouTube's terms of service.
Maple Canvas collects minimal personal information: artist name, email, location, and uploaded artwork images. Buyer information is not collected by Maple Canvas. Contact form submissions are sent to hello@maplecanvas.ca and are not shared with third parties.
Maple Canvas is provided as-is. We make no guarantees regarding sales, traffic, or exposure. Maple Canvas is not liable for disputes between buyers and artists, lost or damaged artwork during shipping, payment processing issues, or any other matters arising from transactions conducted outside the platform.
Maple Canvas reserves the right to cancel any artist's subscription plan at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. In the event of cancellation by Maple Canvas, a prorated refund will be issued for any unused portion of the current billing period. Maple Canvas is not obligated to provide a reason for cancellation. Upon cancellation, the artist's profile, artwork, and live studio access will be removed from the platform.
Either party may terminate the artist's listing at any time. Artists may request removal of their profile and artwork by emailing hello@maplecanvas.ca. Maple Canvas reserves the right to remove any artist or artwork without notice if these terms are violated.
Maple Canvas may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Questions about these terms can be directed to hello@maplecanvas.ca.
